Hi Garry and Belle,
Garry, thank you for sending that staking plan through. I am currently putting the whole thing into place carefully. I apologise for contacting you on that busy day for investment. I was so tired after being up playing board games with the kids the previous night, that I did not bother looking for selections even before I spoke to you. I find that I need to be alert and in the right frame of mind, otherwise I can and usually do make hasty decisions with poor judgement. I kick myself later for not assessing all of the horses in a field of ten, when it is not difficult and does not take too long. I have learnt to wipe the day off and catch up on other things. Please let Ros know that I did take the wife and kids down to Burleigh Heads and we had a really good time. Although, you are truly never too far away from the racing scene as I saw Liam Birchley and two of his runners doing beach work.
I have commenced planning my work and engaged a place bet on Ziggie Willie yesterday at Warwick Farm. I backed it for the place after picking it to win. I should have taken what you said a bit more seriously as I got $1.60 fixed when it was showing $1.20 for the place on the open market with 3 minutes to go. Bloody thing came second and paid $1.70.
Good luck this weekend and thank you again,
Regards
Brad
