FREE ENTRY TO NSW COUNTRY AND PROVINCIAL TRACKS
By Leanne Thomson
Anyone can join the NSW Racehorse Owners association for just $110 per year and enjoy free entry to over 30 race meetings per month. In some cases, your membership will include access to the Members area as well.
A number of Winform Members attend these race meetings on a regular basis and enjoy the friendly feel of places like the Wine Country club at Cessnock, Ballina, Tamworth, Moree , Muswellbrook, Corowa, Orange and too many other places to name. Goulbourn and Tweed River are the latest clubs to offer free admission to ROA Members.
I know Id like to have the time to visit and I have done so from time to time, particularly Cessnock.
These days, its not too crowded and you can still visit the horse stalls to look at the contenders before the race. There is also the usual gatherings of stable employees and the on course BBQs, refreshment tents etc.
In addition to these admissions, the association regularly puts on events at Sydney racetracks such as the Randwick Raceday on April 26th which is AJC Oaks Day. The following week, they have a Sydney Harbour cruise organised.
There are also generous discounts offered on such things as Air travel and accommodation. To learn more about the NSW Racehorse Owners Association, you can visit the website at NSW Racehorse Owners Association.
