Somehow yesterdays post didnt upload. Its a pity , as I had put forward the $61 shot Dream Runner for the Wagga Cup. It duly ran 2nd paying over $10 for the place. Today I have a very very very longshot at Caulfield race 9 15 Savvy Valentino. Its $151 the win and only 4th rated by us. The thing is its past 4 runs from a spell have all been on very heavy tracks, today it is a Good4 and that could make a difference.
It has cored a 74 and an 87 rating for two runs last year on a good track at Randwick. In its first 22 runs it only won twice but in the past 16 it has won 5 times. It’s probably unlikely to win in a competitive field and would also be better off at Flemington but at the price I will have a little dig.
On the other hand the market has decided that Clemenceau (race 6) is all but unbeatable. I expect it to win but it is not unbeatable and the $1.55 suggest that if it does win the Quaddie will be unlikely to pay too much. No 1 Scissor Step is the clear danger.
I Morpehttvielle race 3 Aitch Two Oh is $2 an clearly on top but we also give a chance to 4 Prairie Flower which is $12 and there are money back options around to cover you if it only places.
Good luck today, stick to the good tracks around and you might collect .
