You culd say I am over the flu but my first glance at the paper tels me flu cases are up 30% year on year.
No wonder its been so ba dand lingering for myself and Ros.
Still can’t see straight but I am not wasting time fixing spelling anf grammer. Ypou know what mean.
I just had a relook at Ascot from our Essential Barrier Book.
The 1200 , as you expcet , would be good for inside barriers in small fields. But all barriers have the same strike rate. Barriers 1 only 10% and + 4.3%
Berriers 2-4 10% but -1.9% Barriers 9-12 also 10% but -7-7% which is a surprise. Usually the ouside barriers are always better rices.
For fields os 13+ it changes. Barrier 1 was only 2.7% wins in 150 races, barriers 2-4 6.2% and 13+ 5.6% and 10% profit on turnover.
The price bias to outside runners in large fields is spectalular.
Ascot 1400 thr rot continues with barrier 1 12% wins but at a los of 12% barriers 2-4 -22% and 9-12 0% so break even.
13+ well lets just say outside barriers at the 1400 are disastrous with only 5% winners and a loss 0f 33%.
Beerier 1 10% wins and + 2% Barriers 2-4 8% and lossy at -13%
This is just one track. We covered all the main tracks.
