I got caught Friday when I backed a $2 favourite. No worries but when I investigated before the race I saw that it had had 31 starts for zero wins. It had been running places lately but ran 2nd again. I thought never again!
Today Rocky Race 1 5 Craiglea Bandit was having its 27th run and still a maiden and even though there was nothing overexciting about the other 5 runners couldnt have it. Craiglea Bandit was backed from $4.50 into $2.25 and couldnt even place.
Well that was $265 saved. Thats all I can say.
Last weekend we had two Bolter selections and they both looked good but 2nd was all they could do. Just one winner would have covered all or selections for the year so far. But thats an aberration. Last year was the first losing year on those I have ever had and I created the plan in the 80’s.
