The Brisbane racing carnival is underway.
Garry would normally create a video highlighting a particular race for the weekend and giving his insight into how
Winform, through GTX, is able to assess the race and therefore come up with suggested bets.
I can’t do the video, but with the help of GTX, I will attempt to do some analysis on the Doomben 10,000, race 8.
It has to be an abbreviated version for print as opposed to the video presentation Garry would do.
The obvious consideration will be the state of the track, and at this time it is being put out as a soft 5,
with no forecast of rain. In Winform rating order:
Nature Strip is first up from a short letup of 49 days with a gear change of ‘Ear Muffs First Time’- rated 5/1;
Osborne Bulls also has a gear change, ‘Blinkers First Time’ – rated 11/2
Champagne Cuddles – rated 13/2
Tactical Advantage – rated 7/1
Manuel – rated 7/1
—————-an open race as far a the Winform ratings see it.
The last time Nature Strip had a short let up of 40+ days, he failed at his next start AND
only 1 of his 10/15 wins has been at 1200m. Osborne Bulls has only been unplaced once in his career of 18 starts,
with 6 wins at the 1200m distance. He has featured in the Stewards Report at his last 3 runs, so may have some
excuses for running 2nd at those 3 starts. With Bowman having a holiday, McEvoy takes the ride for the first time
and he may be able to do something Hughie couldn’t manage in those 3 runs…..Champagne Cuddles is a well performed mare
rated to her best, also featuring in the stewards reports her past 2 runs, has had 3 starts at Doomben, yet to win.
Tactical Advantage, up from Newcastle, second up from a spell. He has won before second up and also over the 1200 at
Doomben. He will be thereabouts for certain…..Manuel has his first look at Doomben but has a good record over 1200m.
Nature Strip and Manuel are front runners, Osborne Bulls get right back. Champagne Cuddles and Tactical Advantage tend to
settle midfield…………All bar one of the above runners have a rating figure to suggest it could win this race, Osborne Bulls record is impressive, I’m leaning towards Manuel, after shaking off Nature Strip, having to fight off Osborne Bulls in the last 50-100m.
You should be able to back both and hopefully one of them will get the chocolates and you will win.//////good luck
