My final assessment has left out the two favourites. I have won this race many many times over the years and yes luck in running always plays a part but there is normally a run away leader and then the challenge is when to chase it down without giving away your own mounts chance.
That’s why no 5 at $3 is near favouite. It has Brad Shinn easily the best rider in the race. But he has never even race d at Darwin before.
