You’ll see on the enu above the link to oru Free Racing Tournament on tomorrows Mtero races. Every one who enters gets $1,000 Bettabucks (fantasy money) and the winner gtes a free entry worth $110, into next Saturdays $25,000 competition with a guaranteed first prize of $10,000 Cash. Of course you can enter these any Saturday for $110 cash but with the Free tournament, exclusive to our readers, you get the chance to see how it all works. I played a tournament myself the othe day and really enjoyed the challenge as I watched myself go up the leaderboard. Heres how to play Tournaments.
How TopBetta Tournaments work
Once you enter the Tournament you will receive your BettaBucks which are our fantasy dollars you get to punt with throughout the Tournament.
You have to ‘turnover’ those BettaBucks and you can check how you are going by checking the Turnover section on your screen which shows how many dollars are left to bet with for you to qualify.
You can place as many or as little BettaBucks on each race or selection.
HINT: We’ve found in our Tournaments that some players like to get ahead early so they go ‘all-in’ on their first pick. If they fail, they merely re-buy from their bank.
Place your Bets
Go to the race about to jump in your tournament and select the horse you want to place a bet on and your betting ticket will pop up.
Or wait for the horses you want to back in later races as you don’t have to bet on every race.
Click PLACE BET and CONFIRM BET. And you are off!
You should be aware that you can only bet on WIN and PLACE selections.
You can re-invest your winnings to make sure you keep climbing the leaderboard and try to take out top spot or a grab a place that pays.
Check the leaderboard to see if you are in a winning position where you can receive a prize.
HINT: Once a race has jumped you can go to the leaderboard and click on a player to see what they backed in the race.
The trick with the tournaments is working out whether you need to bet again or sit tight for the win.
Top the leaderboard at the end of the Tournament and you have won.
HINT: Beware the final race. Many players not in winning positions will go ‘all-in’ hoping to scoop top spot. Many tournaments have been won this way with the leader sitting and hoping only to be beaten right at the end.
