Surprisingly we had 35mm yesterday but the Newcastle track has come up soft 6. Amazing but more rain expected later today..who knows.

We have Townsville race 3 1 $1.15 at the moment in a 5 horse race. Bet 365 will give you $2.50 if it wins by 2.5+ l the problem is that even if it is a bit of a cert, most riders would ease it down if there was no danger of a defeat.

Launceston Race 5 no 4 is 1st up, has never won first up and never won at 1200 even if it too is a good horse for this class. It is $5 to $5.50 so you think “what? Back it e/w?” Well in 5 starts at the distance it has only placed once. Trouble is you would be kicking yourself if it won and you werent on it.
Overall we have a 40% + win strike. Leave it to you guys if you are desperate to watch something. Not much else on at the moment and MM tomorrow?? Still predicting showers and storm this arvo and evening at the Gold Coast. And there hasnt been much time to bed the new turf in.
