The first race of the day yesterday was a losing race but we won the second. Then a good win for Powerplay, the next race a C Plan winner, a loss a win a loss and another big Powerplay winner right in the sweet spot. I switched off at that stage , you don’t have to bet all day and we did have our grandaughter with us (pupil free day). Then I got a text from Ros, down in Geelong. “Thanks Garry! Only took the quinella but hey! It paid O.K. Ballina Race 5, in case you are having a day off!” Well it paid $117.40 and yes it might have been fun for me but for our hundreds of Best Bet and Daily Feature Race subscribers it was just what was needed. The Trifecta if you must know, was only $521 in NSW but $1684 on Unitab. Yes I know Tony suggested a quinella on the top three but for just $10 to box the 5 runners, it’s what I always do and recommend UNLESS all the runners are too short in the market. With the top rated horse a $34 winner, it was always going to pay well.
