Yes three legs of the Melbourne Quaddie yesterday, and could have been four if we included 8yos which we dont . Not even those that won last start like Here To There which knocked off our $20 chance Mihany. Of course if I left it in I would have also had to have added several other horses in each leg for one reason or the other and the truth is you cant have them all. The Quaddie paid $2,000 and just to add a couple more runners in each leg would have taken our outlay to more than that. WE DID FIND THE ROSEHILL QUADDIE but at $180 there was no value whatsoever even though it was relatively easy to get. We find roughly one Quaddie in six and of these less than half are worth having but it is the ultra dividends that make it worthwhile and my record is $120,000 and there have been many others around the $100k mark like $105,000, $90,000 and $50,000 at a mid week event one Thousand Guineas day. So yes, still worth having a go but mainly in Melbourne (bigger fields) where the pools are so much bigger than anywhere else. Our Highstrikers Last Minute Mail needed just one more winning race but just couldn’t get there. Three Specials from 9 selections was a great result as all three were around the $4 mark. Have fun today. Remember our Vicbet/Winform Spring Quaddie Pool kicks off next Saturday.
