I THINK THOSE OF YOU WHO WATCHED THE VIDEO FOR OUR DARWIN PREVIEW THAT WE HAD ENOUGH WINNERS TO HIT THE FRONT. I PARTICULARLY LIKED THE WIN OF DESERT LASS ($6.30), Overruled was a great e/w price and disappointed as I was that it got rolled at the finish the $3.90 place dividend still gave us a nice win.
Moruya Race 4 3 Dream Game is lightly raced and should go close in this race. Race 5 6 Celestial Doll is around $5 but has a good chance although I would prefer that the track was firmer by then. The favourite Rapidity seem to prefer the wet and from 6 starts on Good taracks has not even placed.
Celestial Doll actually won twice on wet tracks early on but clearly performs best on a dry track. Only 6 runners and she races on pace.
Ros and I are in Melbourne for a break from Thursday through the weekend and that includes a break from Racing and Footy altogether. It her Birthday present, she loves the major Melbourne outlets and the laneway food, the Block Arcade , Melbourne Central and Bourke st area. Besides we need some new clothes, especially me to accommodate my growing body…see what bursitis and calf problems does to your mobility. Its only a couple of years since we were walking 10-12 kms a day in Europe. Staying inside for so long has not helped much. Anyway, lets hope we get a winner today. My mare Sky Diamonds is entered for Canberra Friday and the 1300 will suit her better than the 1000 first up.
