Well, I didn’t stay the extra day at the camp. I’m on the way home, it’s a 2 day stretch so i am all rested for the final leg, battling the New Year’s Eve traffic (hopefully not too much). I have been offered an opportunity to do something totally different and have an awesome experience at the same time starting at the end of this week. One of my relatives built a twin hull catamaran over in WA. He has so far sailed it over the top end and reached Cairns, on his way to Brisbane. He wants to know if i want to help crew it the rest of the way to Brisbane. Love to do it but I need to make sure my work front is clear before i can commit. Shame if I can’t.
On the punting ledger yesterday, a bit of a poor day really. John Furgal, coming off the 2/2 on Friday, had to settle for 0/4. Three of the four selections did place though. Best Bets 1 placing from 2 selections and the Feature Race was a wipe out. Personally, I managed to get square late with a Rockhampton winner at $11+. At that stage of the day though i was resigned to a losing result.
Enjoy your New Year’s Eve celebrations, be responsible, remember PLAN B…………see in the new year in style, talk tomorrow……
