So the only selection today is Zebella and at $1.65 this morning that was a bonus considering the top tote price of $1.50. I’m sure there are plenty of winners out there today but my patience is my bonus.
Ive has maybe 6 or 7 bets only in the past week or so and the best winning price was just $2.50 plus three of the other selections were 2nd…YUK.
I can afford to wait. Can yu?
I did enjoy the Hobart start today as yachtie I know how hard it is to get to the start right on the “go”. A good start can set up your whole race, a poor staRT CAN KILL IT.
Wild Oats did a 720 penalty, it is harsh at the start but if you dont do it and find out at the end of the race its too late, you go straight back to last place. Andorra Commanche (surprised the woke warriors weren’t complaining about the wild indian symbol on the shirts) also ran foul and had to take the penalty in the harbour but by the time they got into the free air outside the harbour they were well on the way to catching up .
Hope you all enjoy the day and now it is time to work out your strategies to have a successful New Year. Ros and I will be at the Great Gatsby event at Trinity Point ($500 a head) but luckily our tickets were a much appreciated gift. It is on the opposite side of the lake to us and we can see it from home but I think we are going over by boat, no nominated driver to be nominated, not that I drink much anyway.
So I’ve taken my 60% profit for the day and off to my neighbours down the road to have a quiet drink. Wayne is racehorse owner but now has just a couple of trotters.
