Happy to say our Members were impressed with the performance on Saturday. It was one of those golden days I guess you would say.
John Furgal on the other hand, managed 6 winners and 9 places from his 9 selections. $5.20 and $4.80 were his best results but overall it was remarkable.
The Amelia strategy was very successful if you were using a Walkaway A Winner strategy. with early profits coming in. A whole day strategy eventually stripped profits ( I haven analysed yesterdays yet) but on days where the races stretch into cold wintry nights I don’t see the point.
Over time I and others have tried to automate the processes but they all got defeated by circumstance such as scratchings at the barrier, delayed races , protests and so on. Things that can be overcome by oursleves manually but not by computers. It remains to be seen if A.I will be the answer?
I personally “lost” a small fortune through my investmenst in BNPL. Luckily those losses came from previous profits. But from ordering a Tesla and expecting to fly First Class to Europe those aspirations disappeared when I didn’t take the profits on shares which were $14 and now sit at 50c.
Luckily my two real estate investments proved a better bet at a time when the market near doubled in a year.
