Racing is a gamble as is breeding and owning yet in the last 50 years I have had only had two horses that failed to win. That’s a remarkable stat.
But I have not made a brass razoo so far. Lucky I’m not doing it for a living but I did spend a lot of years professional punting turning over as much as 2 million a year on a $50,000 Bank which most of the last 10 years gave us enough cash to spend winters in Europe.
Now we’re intent on good old OZ with a few trips planned in local waters such as around Australia which takes about a month but that all depends on the health of ourselves and family. Ive had another biopsy on my prostate and nothing is moving there so we keep an eye on it all. I was investigated for possible throat cancer last week but all clear on that now which is a huge relief (don’t have to change my diet) and my “throatiness” was coming from sinusitis which is now manageable with advice.
My last test this year is my 5 yearly colonoscopy which is expected to be clear so is just precautionary. Now to just stay away from Covid…..it hasnt gone away at all but now we are all mingling like before.
