So the three horses we mentioned that were backed and in particular William Thomas, ran 1,2,3. Today we have six meetings including the night meeting at Launceston, yes every week til April. John Furgal has just the one selection and if it wins we are finished for the day in profit over lunch. If not well it won’t be long till the next winner. There are two “Derby and Oaks ” trial races at Flemington today. It’s a chance for 3yos to go over a longer distance (1800) to see if they can handle it. The prizemoney is only midweek money but hey! Better than a barrier trial. I’m thinking of standing out Anchor Bid in the Oaks trial and Aberro and Tavistock Abbey in the Derby trial, then picking up a few in the 5th and last for the Quaddie as there is a definite possibility of landing a longshot in each of those legs. Have a good day. Ill be posting the Sydney Spring and Moonee Vally group races tonight and the Flemington Sunday race s late Thursday.
