Yes, Tamworth and Geelong both downgraded to Heavy so no bets would be the thing BUT I had already placed my bets. The rain, the amount of it, was a surprise at Geelong. WE EVEN LOST OUR second selection so money back for that. The one Tamworth race yielded a second .
My Bank for the week is still intact as I head into today which I will do a bit at a time so I dont get caught again. I’ll plan my races this morning and give you an early example .
Russley Crown (Ros Race 1 no 3) is the fav and see no challenges for favoritism form other runners. No 11 Howgoodisvages, is drawn barrier 3 and is a front runner and might be the danger and is at the nice price of $18 . So $27 and $5 to return $100 if we win. With most agencies offering money back for 3rd or even 4th you can back one at one agency and the other at another. Just be careful. The Corporates will not look kindly at punters which only bet on promotions. You need to play a few other bets in nonpromo races even if for small amounts. That throws off their radar.
I reckon I will get about a dozen or more eligible races today . Look at the ratings on the sites and only look at races where the top two rated runners are clear i.e. if you have just on 100 rater and it is favourite and 1 at the next level NOT 3 runners which are all say 97 . Finally one of those top and 2nd stop (standalones) must be favourite. The other details are my “rules” if you like as referred in my books and Horse Racing Australia magazine (complete sets still dirt cheap on our online store).
