Kayla Nisbet did nobody any favours when she fell off our selection right at the start. That left us with just one runner and it ran 2nd. That’s the scenario where luck really did play a part.
Our Gold Club Members will be pleased to know that we have nominations for our 3yo filly at Canterbury Friday night and Kembla Saturday. There is no chance either of those meetings will be lost to weather as relatively fine weather is predicted for the week. Her full sister is heading for another trial and a resumption in the next couple of weeks so we will have two runners while our third, is out growing ready for a debut in the autumn.
Interestingly we sold Bid Of Faith as a 5yo for $10,000 as a potential broodmare but I note that she recently won two in a row plus started second favourite at Queenbeyan yesterday although did not place. It was a benchmark 58 but when we had her she was about a 78. It’s how older horses are able to keep racing these days.
