Happy Statistics
Everyone would love to be able to report statistics like these Money Factory stats from May and I’ll reveal these below. But I’ll also reveal the stats for a number of readily available ratings both f*ee and paid so that it can serve as a general guide for all punters.
So first up are the results of backing the top two or three of our Winform rated horses with some minor restrictions such as no small fields, and we did this after reviewing our book Make Racing Pay which was first released 16 years or more ago and it is clear it still works.
From 366 races in the first week of May there were 162 winning races or 44% @ an average return dutching them of $2.30 , a profit of just under 2%.
Using a Bank of $10,000 the Money Factory staking produced a profit of $16304 @ 26% R.O.I. and remember that is for just 8 days, of course, while we included every eligible race, it is unlikely that we would all work from the first to the last race every day but we include the figures so we could show the result warts and all!
Here are the stats for a number of methods for June and as with May, with warts and all, including jumps and all track conditions. There were 2478 races altogether.
Rating 1 626 won -6.5% on level stakes ..not dutched a v div $3.70
Rating 2 508 won -9.6% av div $4.40
Rating 3 478 won -10.4% av div $4.64
Rating 4 399 won -6.8% av div $5.79
Rating 5 373 won -1.2% av div $6.56
Rating 6 513 won -8.4% av div $4.42
Now this is only one month and a badly rain affected month so don’t assume this happens all the time but rating 1 was simply the top two favourites and the problem here is that you may have trouble getting the prices we relied on for our survey. It was best tote or Starting Price and we would find that the prices for the top two favourites fluctuate a lot more wildly than those longer in the market. Still, you can see that losing runs would be few with a race strike rate around 50%.
The top rating was our own Winform Rating, Rating 5 and ironically had the lowest race strike rate of all of them but that is more than compensated by the high average dividend which is normal for Winform with many selections being right out of the ball park. But still this was just one month but it follows on from a successful May and we personally thought June was the hardest month we have seen this year.
Rating 4 was a paid rating as was Rating 2 and Rating 6
The only Fr*ee Rating was rating 3 which is the rating provided by Ubet and while it is not totally conclusive it does show that what you get for zero cost actually comes at a cost to your bank balance.
