Richie Gee had a question about where could you get a chart with classes from highest to lowest. I said
Each states racing authority would have it but it is very confusing. E.g my mare had a Benchmark of 72 and was headed ti Darwin where she would be a class above most horses but we got told she could keep her 72 rating and would be carrying a lot less weight than in NSW.
Darwin has Benchmark races AND rating based races. Why? And still has country gradings like Class 2.
Anyhow, do your best. In theory you could learn something. But practically not. The simplest thins is just to compare how much weight last time , how much this time. Barriers the same where last time where this time. How fast last time so what is expected this time??

The A>I in GTX works it all out for us and hen you get to put your own opinion on it the same as I do.
In Darwin my toprated runner in the maiden has had 29 starts and obviously neverwon. The 2nd rated runner has a couple of placings from just 4 starts so which is more likely. I say the 2nd one. The race commentataor would probably say “must be getting to be his turn soon??
Some nice results yesterday but not in Darwin and that 29 start maiden is now up to 30 starts without a win.
ONLY 4 WINS FROM PAST 29 nt RACES. DUE FOR A HIT
