Four selections for our Gold Club subscribers yesterday but only one of them qualified as a bet and it won @ $2.30. Today we pin our hopes on Pinjarra where we expect a good track. Heavy tracks at Nowra and Taree and a soft 6 at Ballarat don’t make for great punting. Funny thing, the maiden strategy doesn’t worryb about wet tracks as we assume the connections know what they are doing if they are runniong and also backing the horse. It’s interesting also that at Nowra and Taree where owners and trainers would have known at acceptance time the tracks were going to be heavy have still gone ahead anyway so for many of them they planned to run their horses on the heavy, some probabaly aimed their campaigns at Winter for just tha purpose. Only one horse will win each race though. In Nowra race 1 we have selected Cheatm which regardless opf the conditions looks a far supperior filly than the rest of the field and will lead, thus staying away from the flying mud. Have fun today.
