Chloe Baker rode Sniponet yesterday, a special for the SMS service. She knew she had the race won when the favourite was left in a pocket at the turn and kicked 3 or 4 lengths clear but Looker on Raining On Sunday, ran on strongly and clipped the leaqder on the post. 99 times out of a 100, Bakers heady ride would have produced the winner but on reflection she went too early and it’s a trait that many jockeys have. The horses is feeling good under you, the main competition, yes jockeys know the market too, is beat, and you see npohing but daylight ahead. Well that extra half length you gave away kicking out high on the turn can and in this case did, cost you the win. The annoying thing is that Mr Marmlade , our Premium at Goulbourn race 5, had already won and Sniponet was our perfect second leg for a $16+ all up. Bugga! These guys have a lot to answer for both winning and losing. Looker , it turned out was a great winner for our Members following Amelias method or Powerplay. By the way, don’t be too hard on the girls. They now represent 65% of new apprentices.
