Caulfield has had 10 mm of irrigation overnight and remains a Good 3, Rosehill has 2mm yet comes up a Good 4? The Rosehill rail is out 3 metres, no effect really but the Caulfield rail is out 9 metres…interesting but the track is 34 metres wide anyway so plenty of room. Does that disadvantage horses drawn wide further or is is a bigger advantage?? I suspect that the camber is more pronounced and so with that firm surface , firmer out wider you would expect, the horses that appreciate firmer going are the ones to be more advantaged. The answer my friend is blowin” in the wind which will be a strong Northerlie.
