Yesterday , it was Ros and I’s 49th wedding anniversary so I just put my bets on as usual, then spent the day providing Ros with a lovely lunch, the obligatory flowers and a day off from pretty much everything. My punting was a disaster…Why? Partly because track conditions deteriorated markedly between when bets were place and races run. John Furgals service suffered the same fate so not a good start for several subscribers yesterday.
Anyhow here’s John’s latest Newsletter
“As promised, I will look at ZIPPERS in some detail. However couldn’t help to notice JFS good start to 2021!
Up to Jan 26th there were 26 selections for 12 winners BUT 22 of them placed! almost 85% of these placed for 13.2% P.O.T.
Win P.O.T. is little down just around 10%.
ZIPPERS had a wonderful 2020 but are little disappointing thus far. I’m fully expecting them to bounce back maybe as early as February.
So in January ZIPPERS, are showing a strike rate of 44% with the slight loss on P.O.T. But we are only talking about 20 or so selections, nowhere near enough to make a judgement on the selection process performance.
Last year there were around 190 selections with a win strike rate of 52% and very satisfactory POT of 11%. Longest losing run was only 6. it is a very good method and ideally suited to these punters who prefer to bet less but collect more often. Ohh it also boasts a 77% place strike rate, but you would need to do some work in chasing best place odds to make it a worthwhile pursuit.
As mentioned before along other methods, ZIPPERS are part of my SMS service.” John Furgal
