I recently looked at John Furgals results and as I mentioned, some time ago John switched his selection model to a lower strike rate but higher dividend plan.
From the 507 selections since then the result was 30% winners at an average of $3.52. The level stakes profit was 5.5% and that is more than double what Professionals generally achieve. Mind you most of our well trained and experienced professionals do better than that. But they tell me it is harder now than previously due to the higher rate of Racing taxes.
Anyhow , back to Johns Money Factory result over that same time. The average amount per investment was $44 on a base amount of $20 and the profit came in at 13%, well over double the amount from level stakes. This is because in recovery mode the stakes are higher but managed by the program while still allowing the operator to adjust and decide when to clear the series.
I recently had a query from one of John’s clients who was having a hard time with one of his money factory series and was well down on his $2000+ Bank, to th extent that a couple more losers would have extinguised it.
I followed the workout he sent me and I immediately saw some flaws in the progress of his Bank. After a bit of to and fro it became clear he had set up MF on his own spreadsheet and thats when I realised he had made errors that dont occur in the Money Factory program on Stakingkings. Ih he had done so he would be nowhere near in such a situation. I asked why he didnt simply subscribe on staking kings and he said it was to save money, around $6 a week
The reality is that even though it is possible to lose a Bank on a really bad run, in this instance he would have been over $1,000 better off at the same point in his workout.
When I first created Money Factory I ran a whole year test on every race, yes 1000’s of races and I told Ros that in that year we could have lost 9 Banks but not all at once and that over $50k in profits resulted to which she replied “but what if they lost their very first series?” And that was when I started telling people never to risk their entire Bank on 1 series.
I think overall after so many years of punting that I may have lost two consecutive series out of less than a dozen overall. Mostly when I was running it nearly everyday I was making thousands every week from an average turnover of $20k a week and to trim the action down my policy was to cease with the first race to be run after close of business each day, in fact Saturdays and Sundays were almost days off.
