Sounds good except the winner was $2 so a loss of one unit. Ros and I are off for blood tests today in prep for my prostate follow up and Ros is preparing for her heart tests next week. So normal really except today I need to keep an eye on ZIP for starters as the price is zipping around between $2.10 and $2.3 the last few days.
Annual report is due next Tuesday and ZIP always rises on the good news and then for no apparent reason, drops dramatically so I hope to take advantage of that and sell on the rise .
Humm is a similar business models but operates only Aus/NZ and has been around for well over 20 years. All their stats are slightly less than ZIP but their shares jumped 33% on their announcement. And they pay dividends.
Anyhow, I am hoping ZIP can have a similar jump on next Tuesday. They hit a low of $2.11 yesterday and consensus at CBA’s share site is set at $2.45.
Anyhow its not advice just what I am doing like when I tell you about Racing selections exccept that with stocks you never lose the lot like you do with each Racing selection.
Back in the 90’s I was in a group which met every month in Newcastle and we worked through a spreadsheet which imported the previous days stocks (which we selected) looking for signals. We only aimed to gain 10% when we would sell but if the stock dropped 10% we were out. Our aim wast to win two out of three trades and we mostly did but as we were dealing with a small number of stocks the opportunities were limited.
Our leaders son did better than us as he ended up one of Australias’ best racing drivers, currently in the top 20.
My other biggest investment at the moment is 3DA the powder company that is involved in 3d printing metal powders suitable for missiles and space ships. They’ve already sold their production for the next two year. Anyhow, enough about me. Today should be a “finer” day at most venues with sunshine the main forecast for the next week. except for the south east.
