Another big day for Amelia plan yesterday. Only one race in 5 yielded a result but what results! $10 0n every selection (not all races qualified) was $540 out over $120 in.
On Winform Powerplay it would have been much much more!
On another and sadder note I see a letter in the paper today referring to “rich old people” because a developer is building waterfront apartments to a high standard instead of building “affordable” housing for people who cant afford it.
So firstly a business should restrict the possibility of a fair profit because people who have worked their whole lives and saved up are able to afford some luxury in their retirement with the money they worked for. Instead, build for people who have not yet finished their working lives, on the most expensive land in the city.
If you can afford a million plus waterfront which is central and convenient for an older person, give that up for someone who hasn’t saved up, at least not yet, and still has a lifetime ahead of them to do so if they want.
Ageism it’s a curse and as for the grasshoppers of this world who play instead of saving….well what more can we say. Our whole world could be gone in a flash, just ask the Icelanders.
P. S. Sky Diamonds ran 3rd at Rosehill yesterday as a forerunner to her expected to run in the Country Championship over 2000metres on Dec 2nd.
