This is from the old Cessnock track with its severe downhill straght. My horse Lord Chris erecoded his only win here. I was unable to attend , And thephotgrapher left before the last race and it was before very few meetings were broadcast on radio. Whatsmore my trainer was a pensioner and so only had a spare $10 to put on for me at the 8/1. Prizemoney for the race was only $90 for first place and the raceclub only had $89 in cash left at the end of the day.
Still, a win is a win. There was no tote either back then.
