WEll Extreme Choice stuffed upthe start and you cant do that in a race like the Golden Slipper, nevertheles we had the winner and 3rd horse in our top four but it was hardly a race you could dutch. United States was a Bolter selection and it won well at a best price of $6. Libran was a standout and the price of $1.95 was generous in the circumstances. The combined strategy was on fire yesterday and Vergara was very much overs in the first and even though well held by the bookies at $10 to $11, paid a much more generous dividend at best tote. The Winform Daily Mail had plenty of Quinellas yesterday but the best dividend was only $33, far short of the $400 plus dividend of the Adelaide Cup. Shane was keen to tell me he had it and another Member had a felxi in the $60,000+ First Four (NSWTAB). Personally I had a poor day yesterday with a lot of money built around an Extreme Choice win and my best winner on the day at $6 with several others all around $2 to $2.50.

Hi Garry,
I am rather confused, you say you don’t back on a heavy track yet today’s feature race at Yarra Valley is heavy?????
Mr T was very confident and thought that Falago , with a very good record on wet tracks and one win from 1 start on Heavy, was ideally suited in this race. Our form analysts are able to make thise decisions and the most important thing is that a CHANGE in trcak conditions is a different situation. In other words, if the track had been a Good 3 and deterioated markdedly during the day then that would be good reason to not go ahead.
