The two Waller entries in Race 4 Canterbury tonight are Monarch Brae and Ring Ahoy which finished 1/2 after Monarch led all the way but RA couldnt catch up. MB is up in weight and my Mare Sky Diamonds is fitter after being forced to lead from the wide barrier at Rosehill last start. Just hope Monarch Brae doesnt get that soft lead again as surely the riders aren’t going to get conned a second time. Anyhow, here’s hoping for a win 7:30 tonight. Tyler Schiller is on her for the 3rd time in a row and happy to be there.
Ring Ahoy by the way has just 1 win from 20 starts and is now even money favourite. No value in that unless Waller has a plan.
As for Amelias plan, the % way of investing i.e. to take out $100 each selection shows a race strike rate of just over 30%, bearing in mind that many races have just one selection shows 5% loss at best tote, but even at Best Of The Best. The average dividend was $5.45 so it does round up those longer priced winners.
The money management is clearly the way to go. If you can use Winform Powerplay that is one option but you need to see the prices a few minutes before the start.
For our many dedicated professionals that is how they operate. For others they use the rules as a guideline and try to spot the best ones which would rarely be the shorties.
Try to have a “cool” weekend. And to think it is only 550 years since the last Ice Age. And while this time of year can be great for good track runners there can be a lo of mixed form.
