As you know the Gold Coast turf track has been completely rebuilt and what a day yesterday. The times they ran on the new surface were brilliant. Now ill they be reproduced at meetings elsewhere? Well to be honest, they might not but the performances might.
Rosehill produced similar results yesterday with 1200 to 2000 metres very fast. 1.8+ for 1200 under 2 minutes for 2000 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand so on.
At the Gold Coast the times were near records.
Over time the form will filter in with other performances and I have found personally that the times produced at the Kensington track have provided a few false selections in recent months so I tend to filter them with their overall performance to produce a truer picture. This is where we can improve our selections yet even without it we still maintain our overall race strike rate built on a combination of times, weights and margins as well as barrier factors and wet track numbers built into the Winform/GTX software.
Good luck today. So far I have just one selection, Alice Springs 3 1 Garuccha. Yesterday we had two wins for the 5 races at Darwin and a clear profit.
