I think we did. The winner $21 , the Trifecta $2900, the First Four $9500 . I was watching The Everest and had backed just the winner for a win, and it was 3rd to last at the turn and as Craig Williams started maneuvering Gig Kick into position I said to myself “this fellow is going to win this”. It was that obvious and on he came, eating up the ground as fast as Winx I reckon.
So 5 wins in a row and it is only the beginning. With that sort of acceleration nothing else in Australia can match him, mind you Private Eye put in a great run and Nature Strip, well I reckon age has finally caught up with him.
The trick will be to manage Gigakick.
In the end his prices will get so short we’ll be looking for a horse to place behind him.
Mind you, Gigakick is a gelding so will race for another 5 or 6 years and earn millions more.
How much would you have made if you had followed Winx for her 35 wins in a row? That’s
the thought for today.
