So Alice Springs yesterday a horse with Flash Fiorente $34 in the morning firming into $16 and deadheating for 1st at $8.50/$3.50.
I normally bet win only but this runner had 17 starts for just 3 places and 7 starts at the Alice for zero placings but yes it was a maiden race and most of the 7 runners having poor form. A scratching at the barrier and 18c in the dollar taken off might have actually been a afvour as that runner was a solid chance or so the punters thought.
It turned out that the Flash got up tight on the post so I shouldnt complain but I should have simply stuck to win only, Event we professionals make mistakes. But I wouldnt have complained if it didnt get in on the line and ended up with a nice profit for my e/w investment.
Betsmart landed a handy profit on my guidelines of $263 and that only got to that figure after a nice priced winner in the last. I gave Rosehill a miss due o the bad weather BUT it turned out a poor result with a win in the last of $60 leaving a $40 loss . Still.
A few Members have been telling me they just follow the recommendations and only go in the races selected as average or good. I dont bother about that. All I want is to bet a max $50 a race (a couple were $53 and $55 but another couple were only $33 or $40 out). I go the money back option where available on the first selected runner and so got several money backs in the can to reinvest in the later races instead of cash.
Bluebet offered $3 for Mr Brightside to win by a length or more. So yes I tok that for the max $30 allowed and also the Bet365 special price of $2 so the $50 was a nice yield but I did NOT include it in my workout.
So for average punters I dont see how you can lose. For me , a much bigger punter (and getting heavier by the week due to mobility issues, like leg pain etc.) I mainly use it to add selections to my quaddies that I dont already have. It didnt help me yesterday.
Remember how I told everyone about the Caulfield barriers? See if you can find the $45 winner that came form the outside two barriers along with the favourite which ran 2nd. A $49 Quinella I might add in a 9 horse field.
Winning Is Everything include both the barrier stats AND thee Favouite stats which poitns you to ongoing profits. You could have easily won back the price of the ebook just yesterday at Caulfield where we got the Quinella and Trifecta in the winform top 5. Winform/GTX subscribers would have been laughing their tits off, though why that Australian idiom includes birds I will never know.
