From 4 qualifying selections yesterday there were three seconds and an unplaced. The SMS selection ran 2nd. It ran 34.5 seconds for the last 600 and still got beat. Very few horses running that sort of time get beat, especially in the equivalent of a class 1. On the other hand backing our top two rated horses yesterday made a nice level stakes profit, but the favourite stratgey was a dud. Today could be better although three of todays meetings are on soft 6 tracks. Taree and Murray Bridge are the most likely as far as the favourite strategy goes. We’ll be posting an update of the Caulfield Cup meeting for our Spring package subscribers by noon today.
