John Furgal had no bets yesterday, but with 3 meetings and generally small fields, that probably comes as no surprise.
As a result of John’s consistently positive results, there was a flurry of new takers to the service prior to Xmas. New membership subscriptions to John’s service have been suspended until a mid January review of dividends in an endeavour to protect the current subscribers.
Seven scheduled race meetings today, all bar Bairnsdale (soft 5) being good tracks. I thought Sedanzer was a good bet yesterday in the Belle Of The Turf at Gosford. Alas, the bookies kept the cash.
Rewind 24hours, in the bush, nature walks etc. On of our number this morning, whilst taking a walk through the bush, was ‘attacked’ by some large ‘waspy’ thing. He raced back to camp, accompanied by the hounds, with this thing in hot pursuit………..”get the spray, get the spray” was the call.
Apparently very ‘big’ and very ‘noisy’ but it succumbed to the spray and disappeared. Probably gone looking for reinforcements to lay siege to our campsite 🙂

Thou the ride on Sednezar was ordinary given the tight circular nature of Gosford which allows for well placed top four horses to floor it and put lengths on the opposition chasing from behind
