We found some good winners @ Highstrikers Last Minute Mail for Caulfield , two winners for the specials, not big prices though, but some good early winners and a couple of Quinellas to boot. Our Daily Feature race was brilliant with Cliffs Edge a $6 winner, the Quinella really good and the Trifecta @ $288 not a bad pickup either. Today Beaudesert is heavy but the other races are playable with soft 5 mostly although Geelong has the rail out 9 metres so odd distances and on the grass track today. We have a few maiden selections but only one Hotshot. These had six selections yesterday but two late scratchings and the others 3 out of 4 but two very short priced winners limited the profit. Still good to see the strike rate looking up. Some big changes to future markets with big performances by Smart Melody and Homesman . Graf is now to contest the Everest in the latest twist and there is just one slot left to be decided.
Last night, not only did the Melbourne Storm drop the ball but the refereeing in the first half left a lot to be desired with a very dangerous tackle driving the player into the ground resulted in just a penalty and no 10 minute stint on the sidelines but a 50/50 decision on what looked like an incomplete tackle being a send off which resulted in winning the game before half time. No shortage of controversy there and amazingly on Saturday there were no free kicks for high shots that I can recall.
Have a fun day today while I sit here on a public holiday doing admin.
