My son Mat has been taken off dialysis and remains on support but the severest part of the crisis is over. He will remain on support for another week or so before being sent home to recover. Luckily his girlfriend is going to look after him at her home rather than him trying to recover back at the farm. I am advised that he is likely to remain ill on and off for some time but it is what it is. It is at least the 5th or 6th time he has cheated death. The last time was when he collapsed at home three years ago but no one knew he was unconcious inside his home for four or five days. It was only when I dropped around and noticed that his car was there and the outside light was still on in the daytime that I was able to get medical help. Anyhow. How was yesterday? Our hotshot missed but other of our Gold Club Specials won. I also received overnight statements for the Winform Gold Club horses. All of our runners are in profit which makes the selection and management of Laurel Oak Syndications top notch in my estimation. How many of our Members have had horses of their own which have failed to make the racetrack, let alone win multiple races and stay competitive. Even last week they had a winner of Race 8 in Sydney (our 4th rated horses in that race as it turns out). Laurel Oak don’t advertise. Virtually all of their owners and shareholders get involved in upcoming purchases or their friends who they refer. Louis Mihalyka attended one of my first Winform Racing Seminars as a guest speaker, found a solid client plus myself and moved on from there. These days he runs several national and international Racing and Breeding tours as well as breeding and racing syndicates. We are in two of these through the Winform Gold Club where we report on our runners to those Members and while our subscribers are no part of the syndicates they get the info on our runners and their prospects some raceday. We have a runner today at Canberra and hope for another win from this solid performer who only recently returned from a one year spell. His record now stands at 3 wins from 12 starts , likley to be 4 after today. We are still at home but will head off to Tassie probably early next week to help Mat sort out his affairs so he can recover without worry. We have four possible hotshots today.
