I had to pinch myself why there were so few meetings but then I saw todays offerings, nine meetings and that explains it a bit. At Hobart tonight we have the Tasmanian Derby and then on Sunday the Hobart Cup at Elwick racecourse. Three of the seven runners are from Victoria, two from Darren Weir. Another three interstate representatives dominate the Hobart Cup plus Blacker has imported Steelers Stone back (3 wins from 38 starts) after a failed Victorian campaign in the Spring. So they’ve avoided a clash with Caulfield’s big Group Raceday tomorrow which is eminently sensible. Yesterday John Furgals SMS ended up with one from one so the last few days have maintained an average but no big dividends, maybe today. Powerplay was successful yesterday although I missed the bet that would have cleared my series. It ran at 5.10 and I had set an end date of 5 p.m. to organise cooking etc. This morning I am frustrated by the stockmarket once again as I see Tabcorp gavean excuse for poor performance as “too many favourites winning in November and December, well guess what. That’s normal. Since mid January this seems to have reduced draatically and I recall a similar thing happened late Jan early Feb last year. Anyhow, I have been spending some time on Powerplay using the B Plan (from Racing Pays More) and the LOngshot Plan from Winning Is Everything and enjoyign it although I dont have much patience for waiting for the right race so I am also using the MOney Factory with John Furgals selections plus the C Plan. Have a good day. A few of our earlytips from the Autumn Preview have firmed dramatically so we are on the right track with some of them.
