Let’s hope it rolls on as it is. There is no reason for the Racing industry to stop, especially in the country where there are far smaller numbers of people travelling, congregating in large groups and son on.
For our older Members, well take whatever precautions you can because there are simply not enough respirators to keep you going, or me for that matter. Those facilities are being kept for the younger healthier recovering patients. That’s why so many are dying in Italy, for example.
I’m hopeful that we i Australia will be somewhat better off as we are more isolated than most Northern hemisphere countries but maybe it is time to revisit our favourite TV series. e.g. Walking Dead, The Day Of The Triffids etc. We are already seeing shortages of basic items and rioutious behaviour. And it will get worse.
It is not uncommon for supermarket to run out of everything at peak times like Easter, Christmas etc. and we experienced a similar situation following the fires of 2015 when local stores were closed due to power outages and cut off from the highway etc.
Where was I? Yes back to Racing. With the stockmarket the way it has gone, I might have to get back to full time punting, at least I know with what I have learned and included in the new book, that we can throw out the weeds and start investing with the flowers.
