Our Best Bet didnt win yesterday , it ran 2nd but we found the winner and Trifecta in both the Daily Feature Race and Weekend Feature Race. Yesterday was the first day of our Spring Analysis pack and we found the winner in all four Group races. Star Turn won but we recommended because of the small field a place bet which paid $1.80. We had doubts a bout Capitalist and he failed. At Caulfield Highland Beat just failed to catch Russian Revolution but it did show that it is not as good a horse as the odds on price suggested. For those watching it was easy to follow our two suggestions and save on the fav. Our recommended best was I Am A Star and the price of $7.80 was way over a fair price so a good result and with three other runners setting a fast pace in the 7th we had no trouble collecting on Rosa De Lago @ $8.10. In yesterdays Skins Tournament I was consistently in the top few contenders but passed three of the last four races to wait for the last at Morphettville. I reckoned our top rated horse with just one wet track win in 17 attempts was a no show but what I didn’t take into account is the trcak possibly firming late in the day and he duly saluted beating my selected runner and eliminating me from the $4,000 cash prize. The good thing about the Skins Tournament is that you enter once for $110 and start with a fresh bank each of the four Saturdays. For most of Saturday I ran the money factory with the Winform too three and when I got $1,000 in front stopped to concentra te on the Tournament. My Ebot continued to bet though and landed a couple of hundred more doollars.
