I don’t believe I was wrong when I suggested that Jameka hadn’t proven herself . Her times had shown she was not up to it against Class opposition but now she has proved it aided by a great run in transit. Scottish could have won the race had it not been for being attacked just when he should have ben able to run free. Real Love’s rundi not give her the best chance of winning but Jameka had cover and was able to burst clear without having had to do any of the work into the strong wind. Good Standing had a great run in his race being against the wind and being able to run the trip right out. That says “follow me” even though that field was not a great one. Rocketeer finished on well wihtout threatening. For the Melbourne Cup we have to stick to Jameka AND Scottish if he goes that way. Our Ivanhowe was unlucky not to finish closer but still along way behind the winner. Exospheric was equal to his best form overseas but he has not raced further than this. If Scottish can lead freely in the Melbourne Cup it may still be a great chance.
