Betsmart wisely shifted their attention to ADELAIDE instead of the standalone meeting at Gosford which was transferred to Newcastle. Welll it was wise decision as Newcastle is a Heavy ten and more rain to come. Racegoers , if any are daring enough, will be socialising in undercover I would say.
Anyhow here’s an interesting thought. Anthony Albanese and Chris Bowen are having a conversation and one says to the other “What did we do before candles??”
That’s easy said Bowen……Electricity! No joke I reckon except perhaps for South Australia where it is likely we will have our first Nuclear Power station.
Anyhow, we cleared our Winform Powerplay Bank again yesterday and in around 350 or more races we have not yet had a single series loss even though that is inevitable at some stage.
I was having a look at the winform top two each way where we could actually have the scenario where we get the winner plus the place div plus another place div from the 2nd runner in that race and the win strike is actually 44% so almost every second race. Even so a series loss is still inevitable.
Im looking at the figures from May 1st on this miserable wet day although I have the Knights today to watch and Western Bulldogs/Richmond tonight so two blue and red teams and both up against the Tigers. Ironically the ladder positions of all four teams are remarkably similar. What are the chances?
The Quaddie? Not so sure today but 12 selections for the new plan. An interesting today. I’ll report on that tomorrow. I do like some of the names today e.g. Ioswich Race 4 5 Winston Smurfhill, Ascot 4 The Boss Lady, and Toowoomba Race 8 Cailan Alainn, that name rings a bell!
So many great stories in our Horse Racing Australia Magazines and only $11 for the set on ebook.
